Pooh Bear and all of his friends from the classic children’s books and animated film band together to rescue their friend, Christopher Robin. Based on the stories by A.A. Milne and directed by Lyrica Marsh and Grace Galinski.

To Sign Up:

  • Fill out the Audition Form linked to the side to request a time slot. You will receive an email back from us confirming your time :)

For Students:

​Students should prepare two things to audition:

  • A song no more than one minute long to be performed without music

  • A page of their favorite book to read (does not need to be memorized!)

We're looking to see confidence and emotions, so don't worry about it being perfect :)

At Auditions:

  • ​Auditions will be held at 28 Down East Circle in Bangor

  • Parents do not have to stay in the audition room with their student, but will need to fill out paperwork

  • There will be a $75 deposit due for your student to receive their script after their audition. This deposit must be given to Grace & Lyrica in the audition room

Scholarship Program:
If the $175 tuition is difficult for your family, please consider applying for our Scholarship Program! We are prepared to give out partial, half, and even full scholarships to families who apply in order to support every child in achieving their dreams and having a space to express themselves on stage <3

"Legally Blonde JR." is an energetic and ensemble driven modern musical following Elle Woods' journey of self discovery through chasing the man of her dreams to Harvard. Based off the hit movie and directed by Lyrica Marsh and Grace Galinski.

What to Expect:

  • ​Auditions will be at 28 Down East Circle in Bangor on Wednesday December 14th from 5:30 to 8:00

  • Auditionees will be expected to stay for the entire audition time

  • Parents/Guardians will need to come inside to fill out paper work before auditions can begin, but are free to leave once all filled out

  • There will be a $75 deposit due for your student to receive their script after their audition. This deposit must be given to Grace & Lyrica and can be done by cash, card, or a check made out to Shining Stars LLC

  • We will give everyone a chance to perform their character song(s) before moving onto cold reads for each character

  • Depending on how many people show up and how much material people want to audition with, we may end auditions earlier than scheduled!

To Prepare:

​Each auditionee needs to prepare at least one character song from this list:

  • Elle: "What You Want" and "Legally Blonde"

  • Emmett: "Chip on my Shoulder"

  • Paulette: "Ireland"

  • Callahan: "Blood in the Water"

  • Warner: "Serious"

  • Vivienne: "Legally Blonde (Remix)"

  • Brooke: "Whipped into Shape"

  • All Other Roles: Any of the above songs 

    • Any person of any gender identity or presentation can audition for any of these characters as well as prepare any of these songs to best showcase their abilities​

**People of all identities (racial, ethnic, gender, etc.) are more than welcome to audition for any role and will be considered with the same level of fairness. We're more focused on showcasing the talent of our performers and not casting to any preconceived expectation of any characters.

 

Specific lyrics and rehearsing tracks can be found in our audition folder linked above! We have specific cuts of each song that we would like to hear everyone perform, so please only prepare what is asked of you :)

Not every auditionee will be asked to join us at callbacks, but everyone should look over callback expectations in our "Audition Information" document in our rehearsal folder and be familiar with all selections

Rehearsals:

Our basic rehearsal schedule for January and February is as follows:

  • Thursdays 5:30 - 7:30 (Blocking)

  • Saturdays 1:30 - 3:30 (Music)

  • Every Other Sunday 10:00 - 4:00 (Choreography) *with an hour lunch break

For March and April:

  • Thursdays 5:30 - 7:30

  • Saturdays 1:30 - 5:30

We understand how busy life can be and are absolutely willing to be flexible with our rehearsals and what we learn when. Feel free to send us whatever wacky schedule you have and we can figure out how to help you get the most out of your rehearsal time and not miss too much sue to other activities!

This is a cut show that not all auditionees will be casted in

Auditions:
April 2nd from 1:30-4:30

Shows:
August 4th-6th

Callbacks:
April 3rd from 5:30-8:30

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words. At least the losers get a juice box. A riotous ride, complete with audience participation directed by Grace Galinski.

What to Expect:

  • ​Auditions will be at 161 Davis Road in Bangor on Sunday April 2nd from 1:30 to 4:30

  • Auditionees will be expected to stay for the entire audition time

  • Parents/Guardians will need to come inside to fill out paper work before auditions can begin, but are free to leave once all filled out

  • We will give everyone a chance to perform their character song(s) before moving onto cold reads for each character

  • Depending on how many people show up and how much material people want to audition with, we may end auditions earlier than scheduled!

To Prepare:

​Each auditionee needs to prepare at least one character song from this list along with a song of their choice no more than one minute long to showcase their comfortable range. You can find full character descriptions in our rehearsal folder.

  • Adult Female Role (18+): "The Spelling Bee Rules/My Favorite Moment of the Bee 1"

  • Adult Male Role (18+): "Prayer of the Comfort Counselor"

  • Olive Ostrovsky (15+): "My Friend, the Dictionary"

  • William Barfée (15+): "My Favorite Moment of the Bee 3/Second"

  • Logainne Schwartzy (15+): "Woe is Me"

  • Marcy Park (15+): "I Speak Six Languages"

  • Leaf Coneybear (15+): "I'm Not That Smart"

  • Chip Tolentino (15+): "My Unfortunate Erection

    • Any person of any gender identity or presentation can audition for any of these characters as well as prepare any of these songs to best showcase their abilities​

Actors will not need to attend every rehearsal nor for the entire duration of some. Our production team is prepared to work around anyone's busy schedules and do not expect performers to dedicate all of their time to rehearsals, so please do not hesitate to let directors know of time conflicts regarding these rehearsals!
