For Students:

Students should prepare two things to audition:

  • A song no more than one minute long to be performed without music

  • A page of their favorite book to read (does not need to be memorized!)

We're looking to see confidence and emotions, so don't worry about it being perfect :)

At Auditions:

  • Auditions will be held at 28 Down East Circle in Bangor

  • Parents do not have to stay in the audition room with their student, but will need to fill out paperwork

  • There will be a $75 deposit due for your student to receive their script after their audition. This deposit must be given to Grace & Lyrica in the audition room

Scholarship Program:
If the $175 tuition is difficult for your family, please consider applying for our Scholarship Program! We are prepared to give out partial, half, and even full scholarships to families who apply in order to support every child in achieving their dreams and having a space to express themselves on stage <3
Completed scholarship applications must be emailed to thelacetheatrecompany@gmail.com by
December 5th.

  • Emmett: "Chip on my Shoulder"

  • Paulette: "Ireland"

  • Callahan: "Blood in the Water"

  • Warner: "Serious"

  • Vivienne: "Legally Blonde (Remix)"

  • Brooke: "Whipped into Shape"

  • All Other Roles: Any of the above songs

    • Any person of any gender identity or presentation can audition for any of these characters as well as prepare any of these songs to best showcase their abilities

**People of all identities (racial, ethnic, gender, etc.) are more than welcome to audition for any role and will be considered with the same level of fairness. We're more focused on showcasing the talent of our performers and not casting to any preconceived expectation of any characters.

Specific lyrics and rehearsing tracks can be found in our audition folder linked above! We have specific cuts of each song that we would like to hear everyone perform, so please only prepare what is asked of you :)

Not every auditionee will be asked to join us at callbacks, but everyone should look over callback expectations in our "Audition Information" document in our rehearsal folder and be familiar with all selections
