This whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.

Fill out the Audition Form to request a time slot. You will receive an email back from us confirming your time :)
Audition Requirements:
Students should prepare two things to audition:

A song no more than one minute long to be performed without music
-
A page of their favorite book to read (does not need to be memorized!)
We're looking to see confidence and emotions, so don't worry about it being perfect :)
At Auditions:

Auditions will be held at 28 Down East Circle in Bangor
-
There will be paperwork that must be filled out prior to your student's audition
-
Students will audition privately in front of head directors Grace & Lyrica (Parents are welcome to join, but are not required inside the audition room)

There will be a $75 deposit due at auditions to confirm your student's enrollment and guarantee them a role in the show. This deposit must be given to head directors Grace & Lyrica in the audition room
Scholarship Program:
If the $175 tuition is difficult for your family, please consider applying for our Scholarship Program! We are prepared to give out partial, half, and even full scholarships to families who apply in order to support every child in achieving their dreams and having a space to express themselves on stage <3

When an uber-organized mother and her spontaneous teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right. Masquerading as each other, they must work together to solve the mystery of how to break the spell. By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another in a way they never could have imagined. In the end, both learn the true power of love and the strength of the bond between a mother and daughter in this heartfelt and hilarious adaptation.

We will have scenes prepared for all auditioning students to perform in the audition room and that can be read and practiced when your student arrives

Heathers The Musical: Teen Edition is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously handsome new kid J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and kiss Heather’s aerobicized butt... but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.
What to Expect:

Auditions will be at 161 Davis Road on Monday, January 15th from 4:00-7:00

Auditionees will be expected to stay for the entire audition time

Parents/Guardians will need to come inside to fill out paper work before auditions can begin, but are free to leave once all filled out

There will be a $75 deposit due for your student to receive their script after their audition. This deposit must be given to Grace & Lyrica and can be done by cash, card, or a check made out to Shining Stars LLC

We will give everyone a chance to perform their character song(s) before moving onto cold reads for each character
-
Depending on how many people show up and how much material people want to audition with, we may end auditions earlier than scheduled!

Any person of any gender identity or presentation can audition for any of these characters as well as prepare any of these songs to best showcase their abilities

**People of all identities (racial, ethnic, gender, etc.) are more than welcome to audition for any role and will be considered with the same level of fairness. We're more focused on showcasing the talent of our performers and not casting to any preconceived expectation of any characters.
Specific lyrics and rehearsing tracks can be found in our audition folder linked above! We have specific cuts of each song that we would like to hear everyone perform, so please only prepare what is asked of you :)
Not every auditionee will be asked to join us at callbacks, but everyone should look over callback expectations in our "Audition Information" document in our rehearsal folder and be familiar with all selections

We understand how busy life can be and are absolutely willing to be flexible with our rehearsals and what we learn when. Feel free to send us whatever wacky schedule you have and we can figure out how to help you get the most out of your rehearsal time and not miss too much sue to other activities!

What to Expect:

Auditions will be at 161 Davis Road on Sunday July 21st from 5:00-8:00

Auditionees will be expected to stay for the entire audition time

Be prepared to arrive a little early to fill out paperwork

We'll start by doing a dance call, so please dress comfortably
-
We'll then go into choice songs from everyone into each character song
-
Auditions are set up where everyone performs their material in front of the rest of the auditionees, which is not intended to create a competitive environment. If you do not feel comfortable performing in front of everyone, please disclose that to us via email before auditions

With time permitting, we will also try to do cold reads for each character
Callbacks: We will decide if we're holding in-person callbacks after viewing everyone's audition material. With the decision to call people back, we will likely be asking a select few auditionees to email us a video of a different character's material so we can get a better grasp of their range.
To Prepare:
Each auditionee needs to prepare a one minute song of choice that best suits your vocal range and comfortability as well as at least one song from this list:
